Strategic direction

Our stakeholders expect us to conduct our business in a way that is environmentally responsible and sustainable over the long term – one reason why our environmental protection program has become such an integral part of our Group-wide business strategy. The materiality analysis, which we conducted in 2013 for the first time, confirmed the importance of environmental protection for our many stakeholders.

The success of our green products demonstrates that our customers consider climate protection a very important issue. Since introducing our climate-neutral GOGREEN delivery services in 2006, the percentage of climate-neutral letters, parcels and express items delivered has steadily grown. Between 2006 and 2013, we have offset a total of 649,730 tonnes of CO2 for our customers through our climate-neutral products.
